Aston Martin has unveiled their plans for the New York Auto Show. The British automaker is bringing two new cars to the big city, the DB9 Carbon Edition and the Vantage GT.
The Vantage GT will carry a price tag starting at $99,900, which will be the most affordable Aston on the market. The power will come from a front-mid mounted 4.7-litre V8 good for 430 horsepower. This beauty will be able to go from 0 to 99 kilometres per hour in just 4.6 seconds. The car comes with a six-speed manual standard, but a seven-speed automated manual is available as well.
Buyers can customize the Vantage GT with graphics, mirror caps and a rear diffuser blade. It can also be had as a roadster or a coupe. Aston Martin says the car will be available in North America in the fall of 2014.
The automakers other car debuting, the DB9 Carbon Edition, will be replacing many of the car’s body panels with carbon fibre. The new car will save weight as well as have a new look. The entire car, from the front splitter to the mirror caps is made of carbon fibre, including interior elements. The DB9 Carbon Edition will still use the V12 that produces 510 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. Pricing for the DB9 Carbon Edition will start at $199,995.
